Lookie at what I did Lewa. B)

Soooooo, I maybe found a way to get the menu map as a playable map and I plat timed it. :)
Sorry if you didn't want anyone to see this map yet but I just couldn't help myself and I wanted to play it really bad. cx It's a fun map but I noticed some errors like the checkpoints being backwards or facing the wrong way in general. I guess you didn't fix that though since you weren't expecting anyone to actually play the map yet. ^w^"

The map in the menu is actually just a simple .cmap file which is being loaded into the game.
(We programmers tend to be very lazy and just use existing systems to accomplish something specific if possible. In this case i used the map-loading mechanism for the menu. :P)
You could just replace the menu.cmap file in the games data directory with your own map and it would work just fine.

I don't know why the checkpoint order is messed up. Maybe something went wrong during one of the conversion processes (i changed the file-format of the maps multiple times during development. Maybe something went wrong there.)
But as you said, i never intended this map to be playable (at least after the first public alpha) so bugs like this may be present in the map. :)

No, no. It's not that the checkpoints are out of order, they're just facing the wrong directions, Ie, right before the large yellow bridge if you reset you'll be put facing the white block you just came from which confused me at one point cause I had been running the map backwards and I was wondering where the bridge had gone. xD

Ah, ok. XD It may be that at the time where i built the map the actual respawn direction wasn't actually implemented into the game. (It's one of the earliest maps which i built for the game.) If that's the case the conversion process might have given the checkpoint blocks the default respawn direction. (Which would explain this issue.)

Oh well...
