Like map so far, can see some pretty fast ways to make it to end, but not any obvious ways. Also, how many gems are on here? O_o

So far only 14 I went back and found 13/14 of them, good luck finding them all, some of them are in places you wouldn't ever think to look so keep an eye out for any extra areas and/or places that look like that weren't meant to be gone into. (Btw, the game tells you how many gems are in each my up in the upper right corner while the map is selected.
I'mma nerd, what else is there to say?

Windows 10 - HP ENVY h8 desktop,
Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logical Pro,
AMD Radeon HD 7570, 10.0GB RAM,
64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
That's strange... are you sure that you weren't running something processing intensive in the background? (Antivirus scan, etc...) or that you had your PC in some kind of powersaving mode?

Your specs are miles ahead from mine (3GB DDR2 ram, 2.0GHz Quad core [Core 2 Quad series], Geforce 9600GT with 512MB GDDR3 Ram) and the game is running perfectly fine at 60 FPS on the knowtheropes map (even after the 3rd checkpoint.)

I'll look into possible optimization of the code as time goes on.
Still, it's strange that you have performance problems on an I7 CPU. The GPU should also be perfectly fine.
(Maybe there are some issues/incompatibilities with the Windows 10 operating system?)

As to the map itself:
Looks great! I can see where you are going with it.
If you flesh out the surrounding blocks with other pathways it's definitely going to be a very interesting open-world like map. Can't wait to see how this evolves. :)

Tried map again, think I must have been running something in the background. Probably Open Broadcaster Software... Runs decent now.
